The Rest of the Story

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ty_G_Heiss]Ty G Heiss
In the beginning.... Words that have reverberated across time to start the story of Creation. Words that mark the God of heavens decision to make us a part of His universal design.
So where did this snake come into the picture? Let me ask the question again this way. If God is omniscient, and omnipotent, as well as infinite in time, than Evil is one of two things. Either Eternal and timeless like God, existing along side of God as a necessary force that is the confirmation Good, or it is an intentional creation of God put in place for reasons that we are not capable of understanding.
So why was evil allowed to exist in the garden of Eden? Without the ability to choose between good and evil, we would simply be robots, only able to choose Gods way, and as demonstrated in our own society, leadership by force or lack of option never works well. Humans resent naturally not having a choice, and God created us that way, He did not desire a bunch of drones, he wanted free, wild, wise men and women mirrored after His own personality. So in theory the evil was necessary. Having agreed that the choice of evil had to be available, we now can look at why humans failed in keeping Gods command. Every one thinks it was Eve right? No.
God created Adam first, and then gave to him, or put him in charge of the care-taking, naming, and protection of every living thing as a gift, including his wife, as his duty, as his mission. Adam was aware that there was evil in the garden. As men if we know anything about women, its that they need protection. Adam did not guard his garden. Adam did not man up and put his foot down and refuse to let eve pull them into temptation. Who knows, maybe this process took weeks, maybe they bickered about it as couples do. I mean sin had already entered the relationship as soon as the temptation was considered and played out in though and heart right?
It has been our duty since we took our first breath as men to guard the gifts God has bestowed upon us. The greatest of these is your wife, and secondly, your children. Has your wife cheated on you? Maybe you simply didn't guard your garden from temptation and sin, its possible your behavior might have even encouraged it! Are your children unruly and disrespectful? Check your garden, are your children exposed to media and people that are negative? Are you man enough to discipline your children, and invest time into them, or do you let the old lady do it all, or most of it? Guard your gardens, men. The next article we will continue our journey, and discover why the God of the old testament seemed to be so brutal, and very different than the God of the New Testament. It is very simple, and such a blessing. Our God is great, and I am nothing without him.
